Just 1 week away from the WBF Inagural Season opener, many early draft choices inform teams they will not be participating (this includes the likes of Baron Davis & Melvin Ejim). Many of the Winnipeg Gatekeepers picks choose not to play.

WBF Inagural Season takes off as a huge success. The Edmonton Oils defeat the GP Pipeliners 116 - 92. Andre Fresh posts a triple double and League executives anticipate a huge season for the WBF.
